Eerste stukje ABS geprint met RepRap
Afgelopen week is in het ProtoSpace lab het eerste stukje ABS ge-extrudeerd met de zelfgebouwde RepRap.
z-belt stripping and glueing
To join the z-belt you need to strip at both ends half of the belt, at reprap.org they say cut it away with a knife. Another way is to remove some material with the lasercutter.
The back is no problem, the front however, there are theeth. The solution: fill the theeth with plastic clay and then laser the end.

Het begin van de Masterclass RepRap bij ProtoSpace
Afgelopen november (2008) is het RepRap project van start gegaan. Met een groep van 9 deelnemers worden RepRaps gebouwd.
Een RepRap is een zelfbouw 3D printer, ontwikkeld door Andrew Boywer aan een Engelse Universiteit. RepRap staat voor Replicating Rapid Prototyping machine.
